Charl obtained BA Law and LLB degrees at the University of Stellenbosch and thereafter lectured in the Commercial Law Department of the University of Stellenbosch and in February 1980 joined Walkers. He is in charge of the Property Law Department of the firm. He has negotiated and registered the opening of a substantial number of sectional title schemes in urban as well as rural areas. Charl served as the conveyancing convenor of the Committee of the Cape Town Attorneys’ Association for twenty-three years and is a past president of the Association. He also serves on the Property Law Committee of the Cape Law Society. |
